I had a major problem trying to navigate on the web Sunday and Monday. Felt like I had dial-up service :o I gave up trying!!!!

Anyone have the same experience? My wife said it was because of Veterans Day and Monday schools were out and students were on the net havin fun :D

Cable is BROADBAND (shared) access, as opposed to dial-up or DSL access which is (basically) your line alone, i.e. it is not shared access.

What does that mean? Cable is usually fast, but if a lot of people are all sharing the pipeline you can see slow access. So ~7pm, during holidays and other peak times you may notice a slower connection. VOIP can sometimes (but not always) be problematic on broadband access.

Hope that makes sense.

A reboot usually helps when I have that situation and with Dial-up, I can't afford it to get any slower than it already is. dial-up SUCKS !
