Aluminum is tricky to use high heat on since it doesn't glow at all before hitting the melt temp. It just goes liquid. I have some great aluminum brazing sticks but when I get a good weld it's pretty much dumb luck.

WD 40 was developed after trying 39 different combos of chems and lubricants. The 40th one was the ticket. My favorite Thomas Edison quote is "I didn't fail I just found 10,000 ways that didn't work".

I am working on a new stove concept right now and every part so far has gone to hell at least two times.
Even a bad day on the mountain is better than a good day at the office.
