More than likely the pot..I have a couple that do the same just before boiling..It gives me a good idea of when I should return to tending to the stove...before it boils over

makes the same noise with or without a pot this is just what I filmed. It will do this everytime with the right amount of heet. Here is the setup a trangia pot a stand I made from a water bottle a the knock off stove. I think the inner wall is the culprit

Sorry..didn't realize YOU filmed it..
Hmm..maybe it is noise from air rushing through the holes in the towers.Did you try making one without those holes?
