Odd stuff I might just buy

Post by sudden » Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:10 am

Surfing the web this morning and found a new website. Found some cheap stainless steel items that I might buy. I'm addicted to good deals and gadgets :)

I don't smoke. I was thinking fire starting/ tinder starting for that usb charged lighter in the first post.

I picked up a package of the wood chopsticks so I can use them for hiking and burn them when I'm done with them;"one way" packers..2 piece chopsticks(well.. 4 piece)..do they come in a little felt lined poolcue case?

The small flasks..I think I have a one ounce and two ounce ones for "emergency rations"...

Aren't the scissors cigar cutters? Is that your twig cutter?

The lighters..I can guarantee the battery will most likely be dead when you need it most...

The scissors are for a cigar. I opted for a different version (another post). Got that one for ~$10. Will see if it can cut small twigs. Should be good for tubing as well. Many uses other than smoking. (although I did start looking at cigars for some reason).

I thought about that little cigarette lighter and came to the same conclusion on the battery life. What was cool is that it charges up from a usb cable. I was thinking of putting small tinder on it but why carry that when you can carry a regular lighter for the same weight.

I had to have those chopsticks. I can think of many uses for them.

I think the USB lighter requires you take you laptop or netbook backpacking with you.

I have a USB charger that uses 4 AA batteries. I have used it for my phone, Bluetooth headset and MP3 player several times. Works really well with Lithium batteries.

The round flask looks like a nice burner :DBfire: put your primer pan in the middle, drill holes on top. Nahhhh, won't work. Too much metal to heat up to maintain jet flames.

Cigar cutter looks to beefy.
