Weber Grill starter cubes....

Post by JBRanger » Tue Sep 20, 2011 10:01 pm

I know most of us on here are into alcohol stove or wood stoves but I thought I'd just toss this tid bit out. I procured some of these Weber Grill Cubes. I used my Sp600 filled with cold tap water (don't know exact temp, but it was cold). I wasn't expecting much. WOW! These things really put out some flames! Just putting it on a piece of aluminum foil and using wiremesh pot stand I got 16 ounces to boil around the 6 minute mark. Again, not very scientific but there ya go.

Overall, VERY impressed. I know others have had mixed opinions. I fully intend to test some more on these as they are cheap and plentiful.

I'm hooked on them as fire starters for my wood stoves. :D

Thanks for trying them out for water boiling.
