Those look like the pucks I get from my aero press. Not enough pressure for them to hold together. They go in the composterrealityguy wrote:My automatic machine makes some nice almost dried out pellets that are about 1-1/4" across and 1/2" high.I thought about freezing them, grind them on the trail, and or/reuse them in a press..
I get 3 to 6 of them per day...![]()
I can bag them up in the freezer or vacuum pack them.Sometime I'll try them out on the sink counter here and see if they are worth reusing.I might not get a proper coffee jolt....but they would be pretty convenient.

If I burn coffee in a stove in the boonies around here...I'd probably have a line of addict hikers trying to order mochas..
I never did like the smell of burnt coffee. did that a time or two trying to warm up left over coffee from the day beforehplar wrote:I made fire pellets from old coffee grounds and paraffin wax and they were too disgusting to use... The smell about turned my stomach, lingered in the air, and clung to everything the flames and smoke came into contact with... They now reside in the county landfill...
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate. At least i can bear the smell of burnt coffee.zelph wrote:Dry them out, place 2-3 on top of each other, squirt some yellow heet evenly over the entire top and light. See if ignites and burns all the way down. Do it in a calm area, no breeze maybe inside your grill. Once lit close top. Take a peek every min to see if it lit.
