Hello everyone

Postby rik_uk3 » Sun May 24, 2009 7:21 am

Hello everyone, Richard here, South Wales UK. My main interests are collecting old camp stoves and bushcraft style camping.

Looks to be a nice forum and I'll try and contribute as and when I can.

Welcome Richard. We do like the old stoves along with newly conceived models. Nice flag flying in your signature area. ;)

I've noticed that, you have stove guro ooop56 here:)

Its the Welsh flag, although born in England part of my family are Welsh, I've married a great Welsh lass (30 years this July) and raised two children and my first grand son, Jacob here; its a nice place and I'm happy here.

Having trouble loading an avatar, can't get it below 11.5kb at the moment.

If you want the flag as an avatar, you may have to reduce the number of frames in the .gif (That one has 5 or 6 frames-I'm guessing-to simulate the movement) to get it small enough, or use a single frame .jpg.
The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.

Yes Richard, Oop's is "The Stove Master" here on bplite where his knowledge is welcomed and appreciated unlike that stove peddlers website where he was banashed from for just stating his opinion elsewhere on the web. Oops is our "Master Stovie Guru" ! :D

We're glad to have you here. The UK sure does have talent :D The young lady singer that has taken the world by surprise sure is quite the singer. I'm going to start learning the Queens English from some stovies over your way.

What is the word used for the place in the house where the stove is kept for cooking. Here we call it the kitchen. What's it called in the UK, South Wales?
