I am working 12n - 9pm for a little bit and essentially being a maytag man for software. As such, I have some down time at work.

Post Hike: After this calorie burning trip, a great place to refuel is in the funky mountain town of Nederland ("Ned" to locals). Some great Indian/Nepali food is found at the Kathmandu restaurant. What better place to eat this kind of food than at 8200 plus feet and in the shadow of the Continental Divide? If you are tired, the bottomless cups of chai will get you going again....

Good to see you're putting your down time at work to something useful for your commrades. I've been thinking about compiling something like this for the Bozeman area but I don't consider myself enough an expert yet.

It's a great incentive to get out and get familiar with the area Sam. Both of you are a great asset to the hiking community, keep it up and thanks.

My problem is I spend a lot of my free doing just that, getting out and enjoying the area. I then have to find the time to spread the word. I've got a blog that I post trip reports to and I'm at least three trips ahead of the last one I published. Doh!

Chai mean "tea", but in this context (American English) it is black tea with milk and spice. Yummers! And PERFECT for a cold day.

As for free time, I am doing this when I being a diligent office drone.

In March of 2009, I will be two years gainfully employed. (ack!). I am starting to get itchy feet again. The Arizona Trail in Spring followed by the Great Divide Trail (Canada) in Summer is on my mental radar...
