How much fuel does it take to fill it half way up to achieve a 30 minute burn?Username75 wrote:there is a Mega-Trangia bigger than the Tatonka
it is the current Pheneix Stove
they are from $15.00 to $25.00 on ebay
with a half hour burn time filled half way up
(which is the safe point of most stoves.)
Is this a Mega Trangia???

They waste Fuel if Overfilled
No problem with explosion, or
anything.
but thats what most stove Manufacturers recomend.
it's a Rule I hasve used in an open stove design.
not in the Padded stove.
My beloved old Forrest service stove built like your
starlyte stove.
those You totally saturate.

All stoves waste fuel cooling down.
The Simon stove is horrible at this, as it burns so hot.
even the trangia types you cannot seal them after snuffing
as You will ruin the rubber gasket.

It seems the Trangia types are just for a few days out. No refueling.
The Simon LOOKS good but performs poorly

for groups of 2 or more they are great for making a full
meal.
great for bikers and kayakers.
I can cook eggs/rice/hotdogs in a fry pan, & still have enough for coffee and refills.
I have 2 and use them quite a bit.
they are heavy duty Pepsi stoves.
made of a "THICK " wall construction
but weight about a pound, for the Stove, and pouch
easy to maintain.
they are not so fuel efficient though
for that out comes the Tatonka
it's a bigger trangia made out of stainless steep
Waiting for a pheonix stove to come from hong Kong
to try out
got it for $15.00 off Ebay with free shipping
......but from Hong kong.

Looks like the Stove, with a Lid, pot stand/stoveholder, lid with a Handle
1 Ad says a simmer ring, and the other does not
It might be why 1 is $10.00 cheaper?

I wish someone would come out with a Trangia mounted in a box like the Jiffy heat stove
as the Stove itself was Aluminum.
