Entry for *October* this time

Postby grumdrig » Tue Oct 21, 2008 1:58 am

I hereby reenter the inside-out stove here: http://www.bplite.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=1155 for October SOTM contention. (Maybe I should have just fueled it with toothpicks last month.)

I thought I might be able to develop it further with the extra month to work on it, but nothing's panned out. Besides I've been mostly working on woodburner ideas...

For my volcano kettle

I had to make a stove that feeds in air from the middle. (The outer ring fits snugly into the kettle chimney - no oxygen comes in at the sides.) It's pretty much a Ring of Fire turned inside-out. I'm not saying there's never been anything like it, but I am saying that *I've* never seen anything like it. :)

Capacity 1oz. Burns pretty slow (by design) at about 9 minutes for 12g of alcohol.
