wok

Has anybody use a wok on a alcohol stove. I like to find a very small we use to cook in one many years ago must start it up again makes a cheap meal quick. [ e bay here i come ]

Hey Oops,
I have been a chef for many years, now retired, and I find woks great. Below is a link where I found a stainless steel 7" wok and a 10" hand hammered iron wok(preffered).
I am not sure if an alcohol stove has the temperature(lightning hot!) or burn time that you need to get the effect of traditional stir fry. You said that you had used one in the past though. I'm not sure what you will be using it for. Lond distance hiking? Weekend backpacking. Their not very light.![]()
