clothespin stove

I like to see if i can make a small tin can stove to burn just on one clothespin the snap one or the 2 leg one with a Vaseline or petroleum jelly starter and just boil or hot for coffee 8 or 10 oz. only. i am going to start soon as it warms up a bit. ;)

It's a good idea Oops. Use the bigger one piece clothespin. Split it length wise and then break into 1" long pieces. Use one of the small snack size tuna cans and pack it tightly and use a cotton gun cleaning cloth soaked with petroliuem jelly to get an even burn started on top of the fuel pile. Burn it from the top. :)

I got one idea but to cold out i think a match wont lite up :lol: :lol:

Well got it made i used the round type cut to 4 pieces a cotton ball with petroleum jelly in it lay wood on top light. did not start to good so just a little squirt of alcohol lit up.Burning not do good need more air holes putting in more try later the water was hot not for coffee yet close the can is the same size as a sterno one alum.

O K need to do over it needs a grate in the bottom not to good video towards the end i put the camera lights on so tomorrow night lights all the way

I love the idea of clothespin stove. Sounds like a great way to use something around the house...

That would be until the other half went to hang out the laundry and half her clothes pins were missing, then it would be back to my dog house...... :lol:

The pins I used during this test had to be replaced the same day or else!!!!!!! :mrgreen:
