Smiley suggestions for bpLite.

Post by dlarson » Mon Mar 16, 2009 12:46 am

Let me start by saying that I'm not promising anything, but...

What kind of smilies do you folks think would be useful for the topic of this message board? :?:

Here's a few that come to mind and may or may not be useful:
  • stove
  • campfire
  • backpacking smiley
  • boating smiley
  • hammering smiley
  • accident with fire smiley

Do you have a link to any of the suggested smileys ?

In the banana domain, i like the "cheers B", "Aloho B", the Santa B could be a holiday addition. I will have to search the web for smileys and emoticons. Any suggestions to good sites ? My NEW FAVORITE, :DP:

No, I don't have links because I suspect that most of what we are looking for doesn't exist.
I have never seen a smiley with a backpack. :o

Obviously, there are a lot of fun smilies out there like the dancing banana. If anyone has one they want added post a link to it here and I'll consider it.

But mostly, I am looking for suggestions of smilies that are more topic specific. A little backpacking/hiking smiley, for example, would be neat. I can imagine someone posting about a recent hiking trip and using it.

Since I haven't really seen any smilies like what I'm describing I may try my hand at making them myself.

Try "smiley central" they have a ton of them and might have camping/hiking/on fire ones...I've always been partial to the "moonie" ones.

I am not sure I can see the use of a backpack smiley or a stove smiley. For me, the purpose of the smileys is to express some emotion which would usually be conveyed through body language, facial expression, or voice inflection. Not sure what a stove smiley would attempt to express. But that is just me.
