Only In This World

Postby zelph » Fri Feb 01, 2013 12:04 am

My wife sent me an email to share with everyone here.

Only in This Stupid World
.....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Only in This Stupid World
.....do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.

Only in This Stupid World
.....do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counters..

Only in This Stupid World
......do we leave cars
worth thousands of dollars
in the driveway and put
our useless junk in the garage.

Only in This Stupid World ...
do we buy hot dogs in
packages of ten
and buns in
packages of eight..

Only in This Stupid World .....do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

EVER WONDER
...

Why the sun lightens
Our hair, but darkens our skin?

Why don't you ever see the
Headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?

Why is
'abbreviated' such a long word?

Why is it that
Doctors call what they do 'practice'?

Why is lemon juice made
With artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?

Why is the man who
Invests all your money called a broker?

Why is the time of
Day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?

Why isn't there
Mouse-flavored Cat food?

Why isn’t there Cat flavored
Dog food?

Why didn't Noah
Swat those two mosquitoes?

Why do they sterilize the
Needle for lethal injections? (My favorite)

You know that
Indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!

Why don't sheep
Shrink when it rains?

Why are they called
Apartments when they are all stuck together?

Only in America, where people buy large McMansions...then complain about their mortgage payments, property taxes, and power bill.

The one who cooks the hot dogs usually eats 2 without the buns while preparing them. One is eaten cold right out of the package and one right after they are done cooking. Chefs need to test before serving to guests

Why do thrift stores keep their shopping carts at the opposite end of the store from the large bulky or furniture items they sell?By the time you get back with the cart, some $#@#&* moron is dragging your goodie up to the register. I sometimes grab a cart when I walk in and just leave it in that area if I don't find anything..Someone usually grabs it in about 2 minutes flat.
On the other hand..I've LEFT large items I would have bought..had they had the carts handy. I've asked about it..and all I get is "That's store policy".. I would have thought anything beneficial to more sales would be "store policy"...
That's a good point about the hot dogs..and the cook sampling them... ;) ..never thought of that..but I rarely eat hot dogs with buns.
