So now you got 3, maybe four? Is the lemon farm on the coast? Have you been doing any bee related activities?

steamjam wrote:Welp. I did a full inspection of the V-Charger and this has gone from a "polish the turd and go camping" project to a near full tear down and rebuild.

Here is the front so ugly only a mother could love it!

Here is the body damage to the driver side quarter. It looks worse then it actually is.

We look forward to your renewal of this one :D

Hurry, get rid of the 2 so you can have some funds to start the restoration ;)

In the end I think I'll prolly just keep my '89 2wd and just return it to being a passenger/cargo van. I'll just use it when I need yo while I go ahead and restore it as well. (It hardly needs anything but paint.)

Anyways I'll start a new thread on the Van Charger's restoration when I start on it (Sept, 2014).

Ok, we'll look forward to it. I liked following your progress on the vw bug. :D

It's been a while since i did any bondo work. Had a lot to do on a 66 mustang years ago. Sold it and bought an International Harvester 4wd "Scout" sold it also after a few seasons of plowing snow from my driveway. It rusted away so bad parts were falling off while plowing

Going backwards in time :D The dashboard was interesting, no cigarette lighter

How often do you roll that down the tracks? What fuel does it use? what make and model?

Case in point as to why one should always carry a DVOM and a factory service manual:

The '89 quit runnin on me this morning.

A quick read of the FSM and some easy DVOM work, VIola! found the culprit. A 5 minute walk to napa auto and 50 bux later, van runs great!

No there is no cigarette lighter. There isn't a steering wheel, nor a gas gauge!.. :-D
I run that little munchkin of an engine two or three times a week now. Its a diesel/mechanical 1950-ish Plymouth switcher engine.
