Lol Mags, you're gonna move from the world's ugliest alcohol stove to the prettiest!

You'll have to use it pretty hard to give it the character of your old stove. :D

Ya's wants easy and cheap coloring?

Go visit the Kool-Aid aisle. That stuff is pure food coloring! And powdered in an easy to take packet.....

Oops has suggested coloring by the drops (liquid). Alcohol absorbs water if it's water based.

Does powdered coloring dissolve in alcohol? Would the powder have to be mixed with water first and then added to the alcohol?

I don't think anyone clarified the lack of rivets mentioned in the the original post. Bill came up with a new, cleaner design two months ago or so. The Whitebox I have is sans rivets. I know there are arguments about the slow 'bloom time' as there should be on a primarily stove building forum but as Bill mentioned in one of his responses, the durability of these little suckers is a force to be reckoned with.

ps - I can't believe you retired your pot, Mags!

I can only hope that one day I will have the time to hike as many miles as that stove.

RIP Mags' stove. :)
