Heh...mayybe I should paint it earth toned? :)

I've been using HEET out of laziness (easy to pick up at a gas station while filling up; don't have to walk into a hardware store)

I really have not noticed my pot blackening. Then again..if you look at my previous posts, aesthetics of my pot are not a major concern. ;)

i don't know nothin' from no white box. it was i that came up with the sliding simmerring sleeve for Zelphs Fantasy Feets stove. maybe that's what you are thinking of?

(nice to see you again, Mayhem!)

Fantasy Feets!!!! I like it!!!!

I gave the simmer feature some thought and came up with the idea of using the remote simmer clamp:

I don't really think it's a good idea to commercially make these for their commercial stoves. It's for DIYselfer's

Pure-mehem, glad to see you again. Dial-up is better than nothing ;) Time to get a used laptop :D

Thanks Mags for your feedback on the fuel. I bring that up because of an issue that was related by someone that purchased a bios stove and had experienced the same thing I did with the WBS. It's better to use HEET with the WBS and Bios and probably all derivitives/clones of it's design. Bilinmontana was suppose to read about the issue on johns site. I don't think he has read it yet.

Here is a little video from Frezzerbagcooking.com. It shows a newbe starting up the WBS. Good example of how hard it is to see alcohol flames in the sunlight. It also shows the bloom time as recorded on the timer that is running. Stove ignition takes place after 2 min. Pot goes on about 1.5 min (90 sec.)after ignition.
