Jetboil for cheap!
Jetboil for cheap!
Got to share this. I just got back from the Gander Mt. super store in Middletown N.Y. I picked up two Jetboil companion cook pots that fits the PCS for $13.98 each! They were on clearance. The MSRP on those pots is 39.99 Ea.! I'm wondering what soda can alcohol stove will work best with them?? Joe

Hey, thanks for getting back to me on the Jetboil pot. First off, I really enjoy the videos you have made! You got a ton of them and they are well done. Your a great asset to this hobby.
What is the distance you came up with between the Trangia burner and the bottom of the pot? Have you found that the boil times on alcohol are better on the Jetboil pot compared to a plain pot?
Here is a link to an easy mod I did on the Swedish army cook set. Take a look and tell me what you think. Joe

Nice find JOE. Wish I was closer to the one here in IL. My gas consumption would negate the savings if I were to pursue the sale IF they were on close out here.JOE(USA) wrote:Got to share this. I'd like to do some tests with alchy stoves on that type of pot.

I was not as lucky. I drove up to the GM on I-70 and the 10 they had were not marked. Asked the teller who scanned them at 39.99. I told him I had heard the were on a clearance for 13.99 in a NY GM and he said they probably had a large stock of them.
They had about 24 JetBoils in stock. I did pick up a couple clearance items for my Water Filter. Made the trip almost worth it but not quite.
