It's interesting how these guys that work for non-profit organizations(federally funded) get their stoves into the public mainstream as a side line business. All the hooplah is towards third world countries but never seem to do much good getting the product into the hands of the poor people who need it most.

Another one hitting the scene is the one from World Stove, a little stinless steel one being sold on an ebay store.

I'm curious how they get their "efficiency ratings"(50-90% more efficient than others)..
I would think a well designed wood burner wouldn't need fricken batteries..
If the fuel is free..what the heck would the efficiency matter?..other than wear and tear on your necessary batteries I guess..

We must be sending all our old batteries to 3rd world countries...

maybe these stoves require the powered fan to make them work........

it seems that all these "gassifier" wood stoves claim to create charcoal during the burning proccess. isn't charcoal created by incomplete combustion? is incomplete combustion a good thing now? i wouldn't think so.

Fortunately..my three kamados don't require fricken batteries.. :lol
I guess those don't come with a bar-b-q grill ;the grease would probably set your fan on fire.. :o

The stoves that create charcoal are extremly slow in burning because of lack of air and thus we have charcoal. They want everyone to think that's good....it's a good product to add to their soil to grow better crops. (When I toured the UK I observed the farm fields being burned off in the fall to add charcoal to the soil for the same reason.) And we worry about a charred area under our little alcohol stoves.......do I cry or LMAO

I asked the World Stove people a question: Where in Italy can I find a site that gives feedback on the stoves they've purchased from world stove? No reply World Stove only gives you the positive comments made about their stoves, show you nice photos of a pretty blue flame coming out(burning alcohol, not wood but they don't tell you that. Only the stovies know that ;) )

Rant is over... :D

Looks like an empty paint can and a $5 fan. Which means for $55 you could build 2 and still paint a good sized room. :DP:
