Great photo, thank you Daren. Thanks Connie for your input. Sounds like the stove should be worthy of normal use. :D

How about some dimensions on the stove and how much does it weigh, what thickness does it collapse down to? Does it have a burger grille :D

5x5 at the bottom. 3.5 x 3.5 at the top. 6" tall. packs down to just under an inch thick. under 6 ounces.
comes with a spare fire grate that can be used as a grill.

Why not do a 5x5 top and bottom? The extra grate will support smaller pots if used. Why tapered.....design aesthetics?

I would think the tapering might help the stove stay together and tighten up as it slides together..maybe not...
I'm going to have to try my metal stud punch for something like that..see how clean it cuts...quick and easy if it works!

the taper helps to create draft by increasing velocity pressure and decreaseing static pressure. it also makes the stove more stable.

DarenN,

I am convinced that is true. The taper along with the bottom screen and punched out holes at the top really make for a hot fire.

It has a grill? I thought that went at the bottom. I was thinking I would look for the double-blue flame on my "inside out" alcohol stove, by zelph from being placed up off the ground. I don't have a Go To alcohol stove by zelph, yet, to try inside.

If it works nicely, it would act as a windscreen for a hot alcohol stove as well.

That is some scientific logic :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek:
