Here's the place you can post your favorite wood burning stove and also information on how to build and where to get supplies.
Very nice....how does the upper attach to the lower?
If you look closely at the lower you should see 3 mesh tabs (just like the upper): these just fit into the top half (quite tightly).zelph wrote:Very nice....how does the upper attach to the lower?
Thanks. But sorry no flame photo: I like to keep my camera separate from flamesRidgerunner wrote:Looking good, bbb! Did you take any burn pictures?
do you feed them through the bottom or top?bbb wrote:A few extra twigs fed in seems to be necessary.zelph wrote:I see the tabs now Can you get 2 cups to boil on one load of twigs or do you have to feed more when necessary?
From the top is easiest when the fires going well. When not, the fire can be poked etc thru the firebase upper "window".zelph wrote:do you feed them through the bottom or top?bbb wrote:A few extra twigs fed in seems to be necessary.
I think feeding through the bottom is more conservative. Seems like I always put too much in through the top and would create too much smoke and sometimes lower the flame output.
The pan support of my BushCooker, so probably therefore the BushBuddy's, fits into the BB's fire pan enlarging the capacity. It does work both ends up but the pots support upwards is by far the most stable.I have seen on here that the pot support can be used for any alky stove so the could be useful if would is in short supply.
