Long time, no visit! HAH!

Post by JBRanger » Tue Oct 08, 2013 11:17 am

Hey guys, JB here.

Been using the Woodgaz out on the trail quite a bit. So far it's out-performed SEVERAL other wood stoves that shall remain nameless. Just saying that they are some VERY well known brands. Not your run of the mill wood stoves made from bean cans....

She's looking a bit rough. Lots of surface rust and oxidation but she still performs VERY well. Wonder how some high temp paint would hold up. Hrmm. :DP: :DB:

Funny you should ask. I've got a trip planned for this weekend. Private Lake, kayaking/fishing and of course camping. :)

Been mostly doing car camping with the family.

When are you planning a trip for? Maybe we could link up? I know my weekend's are nuts but maybe we can work something out.

BTW, are you on Google+? I'd ask if you were on FB but I'm hardly ever on there.

That sounds like a fun weekend.

My plan is to camp for a few nights on the Wild and Scenic Chatooga river and fish as much as humanly possible. :DB:
Havent figured out just when yet. I will be doing the Blackbeard Paddle/Hunt excursion in early december so it looks like the first couple of weeks in Nov.
Will also be doing a 5 day winter trip in the Smokies in late jan/feb. I wish I could get a chance to hunt with my bother in law in Washington, Ga but I am already out of weekends.

Those sound like awesome trips. I'll look at my calendar and see if I can join ya.

I'm planning on taking my daughter to Cumberland Island in Jan/Feb.

Hi JB,

I put high temp paint on mine and it's holding up just fine.

I probably should get the surface rust off of it first. LOL.

I wish it was able to fold flat, but the performance outweighs that by a long shot.

It can fold flat, but it just can't unfold after that

I think that I am on google but I dont use it much. I need to check it out. I am on facebook under Brent Driggers. Ive recently had a little career change and I am now working for my friends archery business, Big Jims Bow Company.
We sell traditional bows and all kinds of archery supplies.
I am about to add a bushcraft category to our products that will have some firestarting, stoves, knives, tarps etc. :DB:
I have to admit this has been a lot more fun that engineering. :D

HA! Not sure how I missed this but nice!! I ALWAYS end up stepping or sitting on the hardware cloth pot stands thus bending them all out of shape.
