Looks like a family hammock. You might need a ladder to attach the ends to the trees.

Probably meant as some type of permanent camp site.

Seems inconvenient when you think about getting in and out to cook a meal or make coffee.

That's the newest thing in scouting "High Adventure" outings. I was wondering why all the scouts are eager to advance in their troop. :o

When they make "Eagle Scout" you get to go on this new adventure fully equipped with waitress/cook/mascot.

Good catch there. Great description for it :D

Off topic: did you ever get a kelly/ghilley kettle for your father? Father's Day coming up soon ;) I just came across your comment in a thread by RR on the Ghilley Kettle.

I just visited the link which you have provided and it looks like jumbo camping hammock. I think the hammock is best for any type of environment and any season.
