It's hard to beat the hikers Trangia plus it comes with a simmering lid. The main drawback is weight as it is a brass burner instead of aluminum. We have made aluminum spin-offs here on bplite.GAGA wrote:i want to know which is the best alcohol stove nominated , but has to have this features in this order:

This is what I always tell people who ask this.
First decide what kind of cooking You will do.
Are You just going to boil water to rehydrate dried foods?
Or are You going to cook real food, like eggs and bacon?
For How many People?
Then decide which Pot(s) You are going to carry (All Day) to cook it in.
THEN pick Your stove.
What Cooking System are You currently using that You want to Back Up?
Cheers!

The Fancy Feast is a good choice.
I would consider a White Box or a simular stove for your bigger pots..
They're tough stoves that don't need a potstand.
Here's one for 10.00

If You feel up to making Your own stove, a Super cat, or an open top side burning stove made
from Pepsi cans, or Red Bull cans (for smaller pots) is pretty hard to beat.

The video shows the flames burning in such a manner that they are surley gettin the bottom the pot dirty with soot. Why not use wood for fuel? That's probably why he reduced the price down to 10.Allen wrote:The Fancy Feast is a good choice.
