Re: "Cobalt" stove for Heineken pot
Take a look at this slimline kitchen set-up that utilizes the Cobalt Blue Soloist stove and a 16 oz aluminum bottle as the pot. The pot is much more durable than a Heineken, especially if you don't cut the top off. Very stable, center of gravity right over the pot, very nice.

I like that! Got boil times, fuel consumption and such? How much fuel does that stove hold?
Re: "Cobalt" stove for Heineken pot
It holds 1.5 ounces and burns for 22 min.Irvingdog wrote:I like that! Got boil times, fuel consumption and such? How much fuel does that stove hold?
It also burns iso91 and that information is found on page 5 of this thread.

Re: "Cobalt" stove for Heineken pot AKA "Cobalt Blue Soloist"
Clarification concerning Iso91 in the stove: it burns almost clean under a Heineken pot. Other pots it burns sooty. The indented pot makes a difference. Also, the iso is a little harder to ignite in such a small cavity.
I made a couple test burns today to review my findings.

I love using mine. But I don't light it in the cavity, I just light the exposed portion of wick...I've even lit it with the pot already in place with good results. I haven't tried it with Iso though.zelph wrote: Also, the iso is a little harder to ignite in such a small cavity.

Well that's what I get for posting my question from a tree stand. I was deer hunting. I meant performance for the aluminum bottle. It looks like there might be heat loss up the sides. Did you get a boil with one ounce for 16oz of water?
BTW, would you consider this stove pressurized?
