there's still a copy of the wicked Pepsi G around here somewhere.
it's very slow to bloom and won't even light with less than 3/4 ounce of fuel.

Is that why you send out those aluminum ash trays with your stoves; to dispose of those ear throbbers?zelph wrote:That hurts my earsI bet if you use a primer pan it would bloom very quickly.

Re: ramble about jets and potstands
i did boil tests on three more stoves today.
all with .0315 jets.
Bloom - Boil - Flame Out
24 jets:
1:08 - 7:44 - 7:45
12 jets:
0:52 - 7:01 - 7:33
6 jets
0:58 - 7:58 - 9:03
after all my testing is completed i'll put all the results in one post in an arrangement that will be easier to understand than having all the info litterred throughout a bunch of posts.

Re: ramble about jets and potstands
yes, for this jet size.
i'm going to hold off on makeing any assumptions untill i've finished the last two rounds of testing, and had some time to study the results.

Re: ramble about jets and potstands
another round of tests.
all stoves have .039" jets
Bloom - Boil - Flame Out
24 jets
1:01 - 7:14 - 7:33
12 jets
0:52 - 6:57 - 7:12
6 jets
0:51 - 8:14 - 8:33
one more round of boil tests and i can start putting all this data into a coherent format.
