zelph, that is so not happening.
The MK1-UL wood stove is a "keeper".
darenN, I have not been able to "burn it up" with normal use.
It burns hot, as it is.
Why "fix" something that already works fine?
I went out to Portland, OR and back to Great Falls, MT by H90 to H12 dropping into Helena, MT from MacDonald Pass (over 6,000'). I think the roadsign may have said 5% grade, trucks 25 mph recommended. The road and the view was impressive. Helena, MT appears to be surrounded by mountains. I went up H15 padt Gates of the Mountains recreation area.
There were fishing access signs all over the Montana portion of the route. I think, I didn't miss any.
I liked the area going out MT 200 to Missoula and on to Portland, OR, where the sign said Ovander, MT 11 miles and up past there for some distance.
I recommend those routes, I mentioned, for driving and for stopping for a nice trout.
My Old Town Loon 138 got stopped twice for "inspections" but it never got in the water to have invasive species weeds get stuck on it. I wash it, thoroughly, with West Marine Hardware "Boat Wash" when I pull it out of the water.
Why use a boat, when the fish jump right in the pan?
The MK1-UL doesn't need any "improvement".
Okay, the bends at the corners could slide easier. Got a sheet metal bender at the shop? This one appears hammered.
That is ALL the "criticism" I have got!
I did purchase a package of fillet of mignon steak, the edge wrapped with a slice of bacon.
I will let you know, if it tastes good.
