Does it burn, packed tight like that?
Those seem like big sticks in there...

They are big but I loosen them before I put the small twigs and paper on. I take a few pieces out from the center that loosens them up. Lets air come in from the center to fuel the fire.ConnieD wrote:Does it burn, packed tight like that?

I got this idea from one of the stoves I saw in a video recently. It was from the guy that pioneered the woodgas stoves, Paal Wendlebo. I'm rushing to get this posted so I can finish packing for my adventure
The flame concentrator is made of stainless steel and is placed on top of the prepared wood pile. This video is the second burn test of the concentrator.

sweet. Now That flame knows where to go.
Re: Woodgaz UL wood burning stove.
that concentrater looks like it works really well. i might have to have a think on that.
don't forget about a taper causing increased velocity pressure while decreasing static pressure.

Very nice Zelph. It not only concentrates the flame where you want it but it acts as a partial windscreen. I think that makes this woodburner complete. Good job!

Now, that I am on my laptop, I can see the videos.
Very nice, zelph. I like it.
Are you taking this one on your big adventure?
Do we get to see it in some great setting? river trip? woods?

Re: Woodgaz UL wood burning stove.
Veedddy nice! 1 question.... Does a SuperStove fit inside of the stove? This of course would just be a backup in case of bad weather/ wet everything.
I have the same pot and this looks awesome. With 1 load of fuel how long does it burn? Have you tried wet wood in it to see how it fairs? Thanks.
In other news... you should add just a little music or something to your videos. The quality is great, just need some ambient sounds to go along with the awesome stoves.

Re: Woodgaz UL wood burning stove.
Disregard. Went back to first page and read. Most questions answered there. However, I would like to see it burned with some "semi-wet" wood. Nothing is ever perfect out in the woods you know.
Also, would like to see if a SuperStove would fit inside. Thanks.
Edit - How much will they be going for?
