To start with, let me say that this stove is not the smallest, not the lightest, and not the hottest but it is unique. The highlight to this stove is that it can hold a couple ounces of fuel without leaking in your pack. I tested it overnight inverted with two ounces with no leakage. It does have an adjustable wick cylinder which allows for simmering capabilities.

The stove opened up for all to see

An interesting obsevation was when I turned the stove over so the wick pointed down, the flame really increased in size.

It boiled two cups of water under 8 minutes but i did not actually time it. I think the stand supports might need to be lowered to achieve maximum efficiency. I also think I might place a little piece of hardware cloth across the supports to help allow even flame distribution. The cylinder is a curtain rod marked down to $2 at Lowes. The opening had to be honed a little and the tolerance is pretty tight to help prevent leakage when opened up in the horizontal position. An ounce will sit in the stove and not even reach the cylinder port because of the shape of the stove. This model will leak if too much fuel is put in the tank but with the right absorbing material, I suspect that could be minimized or eliminated. Oh, by the way, removing the felt from the inside of the Sharpie was no easy task. The next size down Sharpie is also aluminum. So the possibility of a smaller "007" exist but I will leave that to other stovies as the next project is in the works.
