i'd really like to see the insides of one of those coil burners, to see if i could build one. (hint hint).
If you could build a Borde Bomb replica, I know a few people that would love to have one

well now,oops.
if you were to
trade something out of your massive collection, then you wouldn't have any more stoves than before. just one different one.

DarenN, somewhere on here there is a link to a supply warehouse that has coil burners dirt cheap if you want to dissect one. Maybe Zelph or someone else has the link. I can't seem to locate it right now.

internal shock cord, hooks to the underside of the hatch lid. only a useful system for show boats. i wouldn't use it on an expedition boat.
that's my paddling buddys self-designed playboat. i helped him build it in my shop a couple winters ago. it was an incredible amount of work getting all those narrow panels into shape.
i've built about a dozen boats over the last ten years. two stripbuilt canoes, and the rest kayaks. you can have a look at the kayak i'm working on now at this link:::

It was a great experience reading through all the pages of your thread. All I can say is WOW!!!!! Your are certainly the King of Strippers

You take the "Do It Yourself" to extremes and beyond

. You sure are one heck of Craftsman in both metal and wood working. Thanks for putting us in the direction of your current project. I'll be sure to check it often to follow on your progress. I look forward to seeing it on the water.
Sure am glad your experience with the fire was not extensive, Phew!!! that was close.
Did you punch out your wood stove parts at work from coil stock?

actually, the MK1 stoves are made mostly from scraps that would otherwise be sent to the recycler.
