New Titanium Cone and New Pot Design
Re: New Titanium Cone and New Pot Design
Firest post has been edited!
Videos have been deleted. I decided not to go the inverted cone route. Too much of a hassle dealing with the tent stake supports.
This wood burn mode is the way to go:

Re: New Caldera Cone and New Pot Design
I've designed an esbit burner and used it under my cone. It burns nice and clean compared to what I've experienced with other methods of burning esbit. I used the 4 gram tablets which brings 2 cups almost to a boil. almost to a boil is good enough for what I need to rehydrate a prepacked Mountain House "chicken-n-rice" meal. I only have to wait 5 min. and it's ready to eat zelph's style. Whoooff whooff!!
and it's gone
I should use more water next time so I can drink it out the bag, no spoon needed

I ordered 6 Ti and 6 alum. cones for this project. Parts are being fabricated for kits. I'm still working on this

OK, all is well. We're moving along, slow but sure
I'm not going to recommend inverting the cone for the fire mode. Not going to include Ti stakes
parts can be lost. we're going to go for the Keep It Simple Stove.
Going to have the cone, pot with removable Fire Fork handle, stainless steel grate, the stainless steel twig organizing band and a Modified StarLyte stove. A stainless steel ground protector sheet will also be included. Oh, almost forgot....a stuff sack
An "EsbitLyte" solid fuel burner will be available as an add-on if needed. Or, do you think the kit should have both alcohol and esbit burners?

You might give the buyer the choice and make the other available as an extra. That way you can keep cost down a bit. Maybe when buying the kit, the buyer could opt for the extra burner at a reduced rate over buying it separately

Ok, I'll have it as an add-on. Alcohol and wood is good
The Esbitlyte burner is now available over at backpackinglight.com in the "gear deals" forum.

My Titanium windscreens are ready and the pots are almost ready. I'll be putting together 6 kits tomorrow and I should have the store open by Friday.

Your other stoves will not like thatcadyak wrote:I am definitely going to need one of those kits

I made the pot support look tactical by putting some holes in it
