Hello there
Hello there
I've been living in far northern CA for the last 8 years. I've been an active poster over at Backpackinlight.com for a long while. I see that Sam Haraldson is here. Any others that frequent BPL here?
Re: Hello there
I spend a little time there.....
Thanks for stopping by to say hello. Must be nice to be in a location where it's always warm
John Abela(uberlighter) is in your neighborhood.

Re: Hello there
John's a good guy. Crazy for cuben. I'm loving my Starlyte. Took it out for a weekend in the Trinity Alps. Only had to fill it twice. You got a winner with that one. Katharina had her simmer version on that trip too. It's been so dry here. Usually it's been raining for a couple of weeks by now. Had frost this morning so change is coming.
Re: Hello there
We had freezing temps here in the midwest. Nice and crisp in the mornings.......that's when I fire up my wood burning stove to heat up the living room....nice way to start the day
I've been so busy making Fancee Feest stoves I've not been able to do any testing with the SimmerLyte version of the StarLyte. I got a feeling it's going to work really well under a 10cm Imusa Mug. I've made up a few dozen StarLyte stoves using the simmer burner. I've got so many combinations of pots, stoves and whatnots that it makes my head spin....don't know which way to go

Re: Hello there
I used to be a lifer at BPL, but recently accepted the refund.
Going to get back into hiking for fun, better photos, adventuring with friends, and real good food.
I also recently bought skateboarding made simple. It's not, but I haven't drawn my own blood in over two weeks.
I have learned basic moves like turning, stopping, rolling off curbs, grinding small ledges. It's a great way to meet neighbors and security guards.

Re: Hello there
Hats off to folks that can skateboard....looks like an accident ready to happen
Too many mishaps seen on Americas funniest home videos
What made you turn away from being a lifer at BPL and how do you go about getting the refund?
GROCERY STORES HATE THIS GUY
I'm getting a little tired of seeing the same ad over there.

Re: Hello there
Ryan quietly updated the support page with a membership refund policy.
I felt like he didn't make a very good effort to fulfill what he offered when I signed up, and he refunded the money by paypal.
The new BPL ads are pretty bad for a "commercial" site.

Re: Hello there
I'll have to browse around and see if I can find it in the updated support page. Thanks
The add I see are worthless. I have opted out on all adds but still see them. Never will be able to get rid of them even when they give the option to "Opt out"
