Titanium Windscreen
Titanium Windscreen
Titanium foil for a DIY/MYOG titanium windscreen is available:
http://www.titaniumgoat.com/windscreens.html
http://dutchwaregear.com/titanium-sheet-.005-x-12.html
Titanium foil easily cuts with kitchen scissors, holes are easily punched, and, it may be spot welded if you like.

Re: Titanium Windscreen
Nice project, expensive material.
What is the gizmo he uses to bend over the ends of the windscreen?

Re: Titanium Windscreen
It is an option that is not so bad for a small windscreen to fit inside the cookware.
For example, dutchwaregear sells 6" increments of 12" wide material and Titanium Goat sells 6" in multiples of 6" and 12" and 16" width in multiples of 12".
I like the titanium windscreen I have. I was thinking I would make more, but now I see you have EZ Fold windscreen again.

Re: Titanium Windscreen
I haven't decided which windscreen I like better.
I like the EZ Fold because I am able to keep it looking new.
The thicker titanium takes a lot to get a crease, so I like it.
I recently purchased a titanium windscreen from amazon.com because the price was right and it has a nice little slip over drawstring bag and velcro strap.
The titanium is thin, so it wrinkles much more easily. I will be more careful rolling it up. It wrinkled, pulling the magnetic fastener apart.
It has a unique magnetic fastener. Maybe someone can find the fastener to use on their own windscreen projects.

Very interesting closure and how it's attached.
