Recent Photo Of Rainier

Post by sarbar » Mon Oct 22, 2007 1:01 pm

This was from the previous weekend. You can bet all the gorgeous fall colors are buried under a heavy layer of white now. Snow level dropped to 2500 ft this weekend....

Looking at the Tatoosh Range:

Looking at Rainier:

It was a pretty hike that day. Not a hard one by any means, but one of those 'winter is around the corner' hikes that have a very bittersweet feeling.

Awesome photo! Ranier is just such an impressive mountain.

We have 54 or so 14ers (depends which you count as "true" summit) in Colorado..but nothing as visually impressive as Ranier!

Woah! That first one makes me want to go back west again. I've only been once, but got to spend a lot of time around Bend and Sisters and went up Mt. Hood.

You guys are really, really blessed. :)
Just Hike!
