New Stove holds 2.5 ounces suspended

Post by zelph » Mon Feb 15, 2010 5:39 pm

I put together a couple of cat food cans and some super-sorb material and came up with a pretty nice stove. I'm in the process of testing it.

It will safely absorb 2.5 ounces of fuel. Great safety factor for those that cook for two. We hear alot about folks wanting to cook for two. Here is an alcohol stove that will give plenty of cook time.

Stove with pot support weighs .90 oz. Just under an ounce, not too shabby ;)

Holds 2.5 oz. fuel

Tell me what you think of it so far.

Knotty is favorable for stoves that he can use a wider pot support so I made this one. He can make a support out of 1/2 hardware cloth as large as needed.

It looks good Zelph. I like the collapsible potstand even if it is a 2 piece stove. Let us know how she burns! ;)

Buy the beef chunk variety, see if that works better. ;)
